Update size of Android 12 is 3.1gb because it is an Android Upgrade from Android 11. This is Android Upgrade so after update, you should do factory reset once after taking backup, because after a upgradation, some files merged and this is a big reason of bugs. Some files won't work in Android 12 but they work in Android 11, so in Android 12 you can face crashing and lagging issue.
